Wednesday, 11 June 2008While I was watching the lap of honour during the Catalan GP, I noticed that Pedrosa brought a white flag with a red circle in it and it wasn't very clear tough.
He didn't do a burn out and no wheeling at all. The flag really made we wonder, what the message was all about. After searching all the net, still no clue at all and finally a forum (in Spanish) discussed this matter and I took a while to ask in English and finally got a revealation :)
The flag is to denounc! e the fact that thousands of motorcyclists die each day on the streets because of illegal barriers, it seems the road is designed only for cars, and in the end kills many motorcyclists.
The bad news is, the media left it unnoticed, but the people who concern about the biker's safety on the road has called Valentino Rossi to join the force. The plan is to pain the helmet of the riders with the message: Guardarrailes asesinos (or they can find an appropriate translation in English).
